A Russian Geographical Society expedition investigated geology, vegetation and human impact at Mount Dionisiya near Anadyr. Botanist Alexander Grabovsky led the scientific programme.
The evidence is intended to support a new protected area. The expedition’s completion does not mean that protection has already been granted.
