Novgorod Museum announced the opening of I Sent You a Birchbark Letter, marking 75 years since the first such letter was discovered. More than 250 archaeological objects from the 10th–15th centuries bring the messages into the company of clothing, jewellery, household utensils and toys.

The exhibition is in the museum’s main building at Kremlin, 4. Its event page lists 21 September 2026 to 1 February 2027. Check opening hours and tickets before travelling. A visit can be included in our walking itinerary through central Veliky Novgorod.
