Suzdal: white stone, a kremlin and wooden architecture
Suzdal's UNESCO-listed white-stone monuments, the kremlin on the Kamenka and the Museum of Wooden Architecture, seen on foot.
Three scales in one day: a town square, a white-stone cathedral and carpenters’ houses. This walk leaves time for details, rather than simply ticking off landmarks.

Stop durations are our planning estimates. The map service will calculate the path using available access routes.
Begin outside the Trading Rows to get a feel for this small market town. Choose a lunch option before continuing along Kremlyovskaya Street towards the museum. Shopping and tastings are not included in the itinerary.
At 20 Kremlyovskaya Street, choose admission for the displays you want. Look at the cathedral’s carved exterior, then spend time inside or in the chambers. Walking through the town and entering the museum complex are separate parts of the day.
After lunch, continue to the museum across the Kamenka. Buildings brought from different parts of Vladimir Region form a village-like setting. Compare homes, farm buildings and wooden churches; allow more time for the details that interest you.
In rain, shorten the riverside walk and start with indoor Kremlin displays. The wooden-architecture museum is still an open-air site, so part of your visit will be outside. In heavy rain, save it for another morning.
