According to RSF, Skoltech and INSCAN investigated parylene protection for perovskite solar cells. The best-performing coating retained 98% of initial efficiency after 10,000 hours.

The crucial condition: samples were stored in darkness, in air at approximately 30–35% humidity. This does not demonstrate a year of continuous sunlight operation. The researchers plan further testing at higher temperature and humidity.
